Wish I had a vacuum for my brain
by Elizabeth Lipp

Or a dust buster or something. I have so much going on upstairs, so many things to do, so many deadlines to hit, and I can't focus on any single one long enough to get anything done.
I need to finish the stuff on my plate before seeking other stuff out. And I will do that today. I have to or will be truly driven to distraction.
An aside, went to the pool yesterday. Kids call out 'Hi Nic" as we make our way over to the pool. I think by now everyone thinks us insane so don't mind us. We are becoming part of the fabric of the community. And in the spirit of 'there goes the neighborhood,' we were joined by three older ladies, who sort of made it a point to avoid me but chatted well enough with Nic as he reconnoitered by with Gabe's floatie.
And Gabe was playing fine with two kids until they started dunking him. By the end of the summer, he will be returning the favor.
We came home, the kids decompressed in front of a video while I threw a steak and shrimp on the grill. Easy and good summer dinner--love me my grill.
Time to get G ready for school, then off to see the guys, open house for Nic's ESY, Costco, library, Gabe off the bus, and tennis tonight. Hopefully the racquet wielding maniac will be better supervised tonight; and if he's not, G and I will be behind him and out of range.
Another day in paradise. :)
